One of my favorite verses is Matthew 11:15 “Whoever has ears, let them hear.” Ignoring the subtle ableism, I’ve always interpreted that to mean those who disagree with me simply don’t have ears to hear and are not living biblically.
My favourite option is the third one, because whenever I put a question mark at the end of an offensive statement, it immediately makes me openminded and humble. "I've prayerfully considered and you might be a dumbass?"
ETL, you have always been so gracious! Unfortunately, I must point out that "the British man" was not on the list of famous Protestants (Malcolm Luther et al)!

This is a biblical truth I can get behind
‘Which is called the Talmud in the Greek’ absolutely sent me. Hilarious
LOL. I only discovered ETP in 2024 so please bring back the oldies from the archive as needed.

Like a homeschooler on the wedding night, you can’t just go in hard, or the whole thing will be over before you’re ready.

Famous mid century Christian, Bon Ihoffer...half the people who love his work pronounce his name entirely differently and wrong.

I need to learn more about Bon Hoffer. I keep hearing his name, but have never read him.
Think of the singer Bon Iver. But Christian.
I was thinking more Bon Jovi. Bon Jehovi would be be even better.
"Let’s use you as an example"...
