I fully agreed with every detail, but then you slandered the good name of Chili Heeler. How dare you. She is a national hero. You must be ignorant of her puppymeal birth story and, to top it off, being born an Australian. Who, as we know, have the worst foreign accent. These Aussies are also known worldwide for committing the sin of dancing, but worse, they do it badly. I formally request you write a redaction because Chili is an example to all American women, teaching them how to heel.

As a Brit I’ve no idea who most of these people are. Does that make me a better or worse Christian?

To be fair to Mr. Heffner, the 10 commandments say nothing about excessive pajama wearing. So who are we to judge?

Yay for the Bluey reference - I can hear the distant sound of The Gospel Coalition in a spin even now at the lack of pant wearing! Merry Christmas =)

Wow, as a Methodist, I have to say something. The Bible is important (for the most part). The genealogies and pretty much all of the Old Testament can be disregarded though... Better off just reading Romans and the Gospels. Actually, we can probably disregard Romans, too. Just the Gospels, but only the Gospel of John.

The Gospel of John is very convenient; it’s all about Love & very fluffy and poetic.

The correct term is biblical apparency, or was it semitransparency? Yes, here it is: biblical ascendancy!

“Can foreign people be Christians?

Well, typically, no. But some foreign people have probably visited America and learned how to read English, so they can understand what the Bible says. So, potentially, some foreigners can be saved. But if they truly wanted to be holy, then why are they so different than me?"

Is this serious? If so, this is probably one of the dumbest comments I have read in Substack! If you read the Bible in English, you are reading it in a language foreign to the languages of the Bible itself - Hebrew, Aramaic, Greek. Do YOU read those languages?

Get real! Maybe you should read Jesus' words in the Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 7:1). Undoubtedly spoken by him in Aramaic, recorded by Matthew in Greek; read by millioons around the world: the full Bible in 736; the New Testament in 1,658; at least one book in another 1,264.

If this is meant to be sarcasm, then so be it, and forgive me!
