"I do not understand why people are angry at Trump, because that issue involves facts. Facts are other people’s opinions. When you are a thought leader, you must only deal with your own opinions, so that you know you will be correct. This is called ethics, which is a part of theology." ***

***If you say this quickly enough and with enough conviction and intellectual snobbery, people will just agree with wide-eyed wonder at your wisdom and then you can move on with your life. Throw the words liturgy and hermeneutic in the pile and you have completely won at life.

I was so proud of President Trump when he schooled that so called “””bishop””” at that so called “””church “””. She was all politics and no Bible. The one unified message of the Bible is that political leaders don’t do anything wrong and don’t need to be encouraged by the people of God and preachers to show concern for the poor, the helpless, and the scapegoated. If you’re a bishop you need to be quiet and not question the politicians that I like. Save that for the people I don’t like.

Matthew, how are you so right all of the time.

“Not only is this giving Baptist, but it also counts as the Benedict Option.” The James Dobson winking stoplight line still reigns supreme but this made me laugh.

I am upset that you did not address the dancing. There are many people that are upset with the Donald for his dancing, saying he looks like a deranged walrus or something. But you know who else danced? A guy named David. And he was king. So Trump is doing very kingly things.

Oh my gosh so true. I can see David doing the Trump dance right now when he made the hush money payment to Bathsheba.

He is not a Christian at all. We all fall short. We all have flaws but we seek forgiveness , we seek change, we feel shame. This man gets excited in hurting, belittling or controlling people and he brags about it pridefully. He neither seeks or recognizes an authority greater than himself.
